FAQs
Do I need to undress?
It depends on the service. For deep tissue and Ayurvedic sessions you’ll undress to your comfort level, you’re always draped with a sheet and only the area being worked on is exposed. For assisted stretching, you stay fully clothed in comfortable, flexible clothing.
Will it hurt?
Deep tissue work involves real pressure, and some areas may be tender, especially if you’ve been carrying tension for a long time. It should never feel sharp or unbearable. I always work within your threshold and adjust based on your feedback.
The day after a session some people feel mild soreness, similar to a good workout. That’s normal and passes within 24–48 hours.
How often should I come?
For general maintenance, once or twice a month is ideal. If you’re dealing with chronic tension, postural issues, or recovering from something specific, weekly sessions for the first month will get you results much faster.
We’ll figure out the right cadence after your first session.
How is Thai massage different from a regular massage?
Traditional Thai massage works along the body’s energy lines using compression and assisted stretching. It addresses the nervous system and fascia rather than just the surface muscles.
Most clients describe the difference as feeling taller and breathing deeper after, not just relaxed.
What should I do before my session?
Avoid eating a heavy meal in the 90 minutes before. Arrive hydrated. If you have any injuries, medical conditions, or areas of concern, mention them when you book so I can prepare accordingly.
